4 Steps to Successful Affiliate Marketing
Affiliate marketing is a way to make money online that doesn’t require you to have your own product. Instead, you promote other people’s products or services and get paid a commission. To find success there are four general steps. These include doing the initial research, getting traffic, finding a product, and converting the traffic into sales.
Doing the Initial Research
Before you even get started with affiliate marketing, you need to understand that providing excellent content in the form of articles or blog posts is the key to your success. In order to do this, you need to find a subject that people are searching for information on. This is where the research comes in.
There are several ways to go about obtaining this information such as searching on the internet, using keyword generation tools, or just keeping your eyes open. Do you and the people around you seem to have a need for certain information? See if you can capitalize on that.
Getting Traffic
Once you’ve determined that a topic is a good one to work with, your next goal will be to get traffic. An important way to do this is to find excellent keywords for your content. First, start a blog or a website on the subject you chose. Then, find a good keyword. Try to reserve your domain name or blog URL if it is a free service with the keyword in it.
As a general rule, you’ll want to find keywords that get a decent amount of traffic. The most common methods for doing this, is typing the phrase in Google and using more advanced techniques.
Once you find keywords that you want to use, your next step is to write helpful articles using the keywords. Choose one keyword and turn that into your title. Other methods of getting traffic are article marketing and pay per click.
Find the Product
Your next step is to find a product to promote that is related to the subject of your blog or website. Look for one that awards a decent commission of around 50% or so – that way you can make a good amount of money per sale. Also make sure the sales letter for the product looks convincing and professional and that the product has been getting good reviews if it’s been around for a while.

Convert the Traffic to Sales
Your last step is to make sure some of your traffic is actually making you a sale. The most important thing you can do is make sure that your articles or blog posts are well written. Also, you want to somehow compel the reader to click on your affiliate link. There are several ways to do that. An example of this would be to say, “For more information about the subject, click here,” and then include the link.
So those are the basic steps summarized. There is a lot of variation within these four steps, but the basic process is always the same.

Extra Money:Affiliate Marketing Using Articles to Make Extra Money
Despite that you are mom who want some extra money for your family or just some college kid who need some money, you should try to make money online with affiliate marketing using Articles. There are 3 ways to use article directories, and I will reveal them all in this article…
There are 3 ways you can use Ezinearticles, and this is not some make money scams that does work.
Method #2 – Write tons of articles.
You do some basic keyword research with “Google Keyword Tool” and “Wordtracker Free Keyword Tool”, visit forums to understand what is your prospect problems and write down all the problems and solutions with keywords.
Prepare to write 50 ~ 100 articles all based on your research, just write at least 50 articles to submit into Ezinearticles, you may repeat the same topic with different title, angle and tones. Use AIDA forumula in your articles – Attention -> Interest -> Desire -> Action.
Attention – You need attention graping title.
Interest – Your article must further enhance your reader’s interest. (Utilize problems and solutions you found in the forum during research, just like this article).
Desire – You must lead your readers emotion to desire for action.
Action – You will tell you readers to click on the link in your article or resources box. (Example: Do you want to know How To Get Search Engines to Index Your Sites in 2 Hours? You are welcome to visit “website name or keywords” for more information).
Method #2 – Write article from unique angle and follow the trend.
Follow the trend of your market and take note of what people are talking about within the forums, participate to find more problems and solutions, use them in your article and write it out with an unique angle! Your target are not just the readers, but also the publishers of your articles, you want them to download and host your articles!
Syndicate your articles to all article directories you can find, and attract as many publishers as possible with it. Then create your list of publishers when you keep track your article’s distribution status, you can accomplish that by asking google, using your article’s title. For instance, “How to Impress Your Sex Partner”, just enter your article name.
Method #3 – Piggy back on the Search Engine Traffic.
You need to do more detail keyword research, brain storm for more keywords, especially buying keywords / long tail keywords. Use buying seed words such as “discount”, “buy”, “coupon” and “bonus”…
You have to write articles for all types of long tail keywords, use Excel to keep record of each articles position for the particular keyword, and write more supporting articles with the keyword anchor text that point to those approved articles from Ezinearticles, syndicate all supporting articles to all other article directories!
The key is to get listed in the search engine first result page, so you have to generate more back links for each of your articles. If you do it correctly, you will see tons of views flows into your articles and gives you tons of traffic that will make you not just extra money, but make a lot of money from each article!
Why Use Simple Landing Pages?
Are you just getting started in Internet Marketing and looking for some great money making ideas? You want to sell something but not having your own product, you decide to try affiliate marketing (selling someone else’s product). OK, great…but how do you do it?
You can buy hundreds of ebooks all with different “systems” or strategies and you can find lots of free information as well. Eventually though, you are going to realize that you will need to make some landing pages.
What are landing pages? Landing pages are where you want your visitor to “land” and once there, you hope they click on your link to go to the sellers website where they will then buy the product.
Why not just link directly to the sellers website? Why do you need a landing page at all? Well, it depends on how you are going to get your visitor to the sellers site. A popular way is by writing articles, having them published, and having readers find those articles and click on the links inside them. The problem is that many article sites do not allow direct affiliate marketing links. They will allow links to your website or landing page but not directly to the seller.
You can learn a lot about landing pages by typing in “What are landing pages” in Google. You will find lots of useful information and tips galore on how to make great landing pages. But just like everything else on the Internet, after reading 10 or so different articles, you may be no closer to making one and confused about exactly what you should do.
I believe the best way to get started is by making simple landing pages that pretty much say to the viewer ‘here is the product and here is where you get it”. I don’t do a lot of “pre-selling” on my landing pages and many Internet marketers would disagree with that. The common consensus is that you should warm your visitor up to the sale by reviewing the item and/or telling them how great it is.
The problem with that is that it is difficult to write convincingly about something you know little about. Another problem for beginners is that their writing skills may not be up to par…at least not yet. That is why I recommend setting up something simple at first.
My opinion is that it is my job (or you might say the landing page’s job) to get the visitor to the seller’s website. It is the seller’s job from there to convert the sale. I sort of just open the door for customers to walk through and let the product and shopkeeper do the rest. If they can’t do their job, then I have to at some time move to another product. Here is an example of a landing page for best ways to make money for free.
You might open up a free blog at Blogger and make your site as pretty and color coordinated as you can (some people will obviously be better at this than others) and do a lot of copying and pasting graphics and words from your sellers website. Only use one link to the seller’s website though, as using free blogs for marketing is frowned on and if you overdo it they could suspend you. Ideally you should get your own domain and hosting but that can be done once you start making money.
Basically you are making a big advertisement that says “This is where you get so and so product”. If the people you drive to your blog want that product, then they will click on the link to find out more. Once they do that, you have done your job. Making a landing page is the easy part: getting targeted traffic to your website or blog is much harder. There are many easy ways to make money online and this is only one of them. It might work for you though if you are just starting out.
