Internet Marketing-The Easy Way Out For Entrepreneurs
I remember one day some years ago telling my mother that I hated going to a job. I remember her answer very well too. She said: ?Well, people have to work?!
That answer was really not what I wanted to hear, and I knew that there had to be something better than this. I knew there had to be something more rewarding and more fulfilling than spending 8 hours a day, 5 days a week, making someone else rich.
It was soon after that talk with my mother that I fully understood why she would answer what she did.
What I have learned is that there are two types of people on the planet.
The entrepreneur type and the non-entrepreneur type. The first group will find a way to get out of the 9 to 5 rat race while the second group will see their job or jobs as an inevitable fate that can?t be avoided until they retire. For them the philosophy is, we have to work.
Unfortunately, being an entrepreneur at heart doesn?t mean that you have any idea of what kind of business you want to get into or that you will have the money for it. So, what do you do to get out of your 9-5 job?
The advantage that the modern entrepreneur has today is that he can start his own virtual online marketing with very little to no money.
How is this possible? You can start your own online business by selling other people?s products for a nice commission. Your goal will be to lead people to your affiliate links and sites. When people buy a product through your affiliate link, you cash in on the commission.
The web is full of digital and physical products that you can sell as an affiliate. For example, clickbank is an online digital product retailer that offers some 10,000 products. When you sell one or more of those products from Clickbank, you can make a healthy 50% to 75% commission on each sale. Furthermore, the vendor of the product you have chosen to sell will provide you with tools such as banners, buttons, pictures, keywords, articles, and various information to help you promote the product.
You can start selling products online with or without a website. Having a website will definitely help you look more professional down the road, but it is not a requirement. So, if having a website is an issue for you at the beginning, you can start with the vendor?s site alone. It will still do the trick.
If you want to create your own site right away, however, you can do this for free. Wordpress, for example offers website blog-like that are free and very professional looking. The only one thing that I would advise you to invest in is a $10 domain name.
You will look more professional if you have a domain name that you can link your site. Domain names are around $10 a year, that?s less than a dollar a month. This is a very small amount of money for a tool that will make you look more professional in your online business.
If you are not sure that you are ready to invest even a dime into your business yet, you can use what is called a web 2.0 site, such as Squidoo, or Hubpages. Those web 2.0 machines are very well ranked on Google and if you build a site there your exposure will get the boost that their system already benefits from.
In other words, it will take you more time to be found on Google using a brand new site of your own than it would be by using a Squidoo page or a Hubpages page. The downside is that you don?t own your site there. You should always remember that it?s their site and they can decide to change the rules or even delete your site if they feel that you have broken them.
So, just remember to use these sites for what they are worth: They give you great exposure, allow you to build free pages, and help you expand your product. It?s like free advertising.
As a matter of fact, don?t make the mistake of paying for advertising when you are still new at this, because you will be ending up losing more money than you will make. Paid advertising such as PPC for example, requires a learning process. On time you will get there, but for now stick to free avenues. You will be glad you did.
So, what do you do now? Go to Clicbank, register there and try to find a product that you would like to have yourself, something which seems to be a product that will help your customers. Learn as much as you can about the product and start writing Web 2.0 pages about it.
Then write articles as well, that you can distribute to different article directories. In time when you are ready, purchase a domain and build a quick Wordpress blog that you will link to that domain. Then start to link this blog to every page and articles that you create. This will build backlinks to your blog and give it authority on Google as time goes on.
While you are doing all this, keep learning everything you can about your online affiliate business. As time goes on, you will grow in knowledge and become an online professional, even an expert, depending on how much you want it. In two to three years you can build an empire and never, ever go to a job again.
