Because it is free, easy to use and can make such an incredible difference in your profits, I believe its a more valuable tool than even the heavily used Keyword Tool for pay per click marketers. The keyword tool will get you more traffic — your ads will show more often. This will get you more clicks, sure, but you will still be paying for those clicks. You will still be paying the same amount to make each sale. If you increase your conversion rate, you will be getting more sales for the same number of clicks. You can now disable different combinations (for multivariate tests) or different pages (for A/B split tests) in the middle of the experiment. Before, if you had a combination that was a clear loser, you had to keep sending traffic to it until the end of the experiment. This cost you sales that you could have had if you were sending traffic to the winning page, or even the old control page, and it made a lot of advertisers resistant to using the tool. Fortunately, that problem is gone – if any one of your pages or combinations is not working well, just disable it and send its traffic to the remaining pages.
If you keep your experiments simple, most tests should be over in a week or so. By simple, I mean testing no more than 12-16 combinations for a multivariate experiment, and no more than four pages for a split-test. This can require a bit of restraint if you’re on fire to get results, but it is better to find a proven winner, use that as the new control, and then test the next batch of variables.
It is also important to test one part of your sales funnel at a time. So if you are doing landing page tests, do not run a test of your shopping cart at the same time, and do not do much or any ad copy testing in your AdWords account. Too many changes will muddy the results, and even a nearly perfectly set up test is going to have a lot of uncontrollable variables, like season, new competitors in the market, and possible news event

What Is The Best Way To Get Started With An Online Business?
Starting an online business takes some research. Before you do anything you need to first be clear on your niche. If you want me to recommend one for you, I’d suggest getting into the money making niche. Find something about making money and start talking about that. It’s so much easier to sell dollars for dimes than anything else.
Once you’ve chosen your niche, you need to set up a squeeze page that captures the name and email address of your visitor. Now, how do you throw up a squeeze page? Well, you’ve first got to buy a domain and get hosting. If you have no knowledge in setting up websites or if you don’t want to do it yourself you can hire somebody to do it for you from websites like Elance. Another option is doing it yourself using tools like Nvu, DreamWeaver, FrontPage, or WebExpressions from Microsoft. Once you have one of these programs installed on your computer, go online to see examples of websites with squeeze pages on them and try to imitate it.
The next thing you’ve got to get is an autoresponder installed on your hosting. Log in to your autoresponder software platform and create your own autoresponder. I use AutoresponderPlus and highly recommend it.
So, how do you set up an autoresponder sequence of messages? It’s a fairly simple process. Just follow the instructions laid out for you on their site. When you create an autoresponder, it’s going to create a form. Go inside the autoresponder and copy the form code so that you can also use it inside your squeeze page website. The reason for this is so that your visitors will be able to sign up and you will be able to capture their information so that you can market to them.
The next thing is finding products to promote. In the “making money” niche, there are tons of great affiliate products you can sell to your list. Once you’ve posted your products on you site, save your website on your computer so you have a backup of it and then go up to the top of the software where it says: “Open site.”
The hosting account should give you your Cpanel username and password where you can input the domain name of your website as well as log you into the server. The public html folder inside Cpanel is where you’re going to drag and drop everything. After you do that the site will now be live.
Once that’s all set up, now you can begin working on your autoresponder messages.
In the first message of your autoresponder sequence, you’ll probably want to send a welcome email. Perhaps something like; “Welcome, thanks very much for signing up…” For your second message, you’ll want to probably send them straight to your affiliate page. This will help you set up a good foundation and start training your list members to buy.
A quick way to make you money is go to ClickBank.com and sign up for a related affiliate program in your niche with high gravity. High gravity means the product is selling well overall. Once you find something with high gravity, take that product and log back into your autoresponder and change the redirect so that when people opt in, the success/confirmation page will be a new page and the link you’d want to put there is a link to your affiliate program.

Getting Started With Autoresponders
An autoresponder is an email message which is sent automatically when someone enters their name and contact details on your website and clicks on the Submit button. It is one of those automated responses you’ll have received yourself if you shop online, or receive online newsletters.
You need to subscribe to an autoresponder service so that you can send an automatic email response to all your website enquiries. By automating the process, you free yourself up, you make your business look a whole lot more professional and you enable the element of immediate delivery. The quicker your first follow-up message reaches them, the less chance there is of your website sign-ups forgetting why they were interested in you in the first place!
Although an autoresponder doesn’t need to consist of anything more than a single message, you can choose to set up whole sequences of messages too. So if, for example, you want to offer a free four part mini-course, with one instalment sent every three days, you can programme your autoresponder account to manage that automatically.
* The double opt-in
As a result of the ever-increasing levels of spam on the internet, all email service providers have put measures in place to ensure that as little unsolicited email as possible actually reaches your mailbox. This means that when you become a sender of bulk email (which is what you are setting yourself up to be by building a mailing list), you need to make sure that you comply with the anti-spam regulations.
Your autoresponder service will, by and large, manage the compliance aspect for you. But one thing you do need to be aware of is the double opt-in. This means that every single person who signs up on your website must confirm their email address before it’s okay for you to send them further messages. You don’t have to verify your sign-ups this strictly, but I recommend that you do as it will greatly improve the chances of your follow-up messages reaching their destinations reliably.
Assuming you go down the double opt-in route, most autoresponder service providers will offer you some template ‘please confirm your subscription’ messages. But since the first message that your potential new clients will see from you is the confirmation opt-in email, I think it’s important to personalise it.
* Composing your messages
I recommend preparing your messages in something like Word or Notepad before you enter them into your autoresponder account for real. This will give you a chance to think about the wording carefully and about the order in which your new sign-ups will receive information from you. With the double opt-in, they will start out by receiving two messages from you in quick succession.
The first message is the opt-in confirmation message. The bare bones of a typical opt-in message look something like this:
‘Thank you for requesting my free introductory report: [report name]. All you need to do now is click the link below to confirm your request. If you have changed your mind or received this message in error, simply delete this email and your information will be removed by the system automatically.’
The second message is the one where you deliver the goods. It’s usually either the first instalment of your free report, e-course or set of articles… or it contains a link to the document or audio file you promised on sign-up.
